Departing Australia Superannuation Payment (DASP)

Departing Australia Superannuation refund (payment) is something everyone overlooks. Most people who complete a Working Holiday in Australia don’t know that when they leave Australia they can get a Superannuation refund (DASP). Here are some details you need to know to get a Superannuation refund and start adding to your next savings pot for a new Adventure!

All you need is the following criteria to claim:

  • Visa (expired or cancelled)
  • You are no longer in Australia
  • Not an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • You visited Australia on a temporary visa
  • It is recommended you have no more than $5000 to claim back because with over $5000 you will need an immigration status certificate

Tip: Before applying check with your employer that all of your Super payments are complete.
