To become a Cashrewards Master
You need to learn to think like one. There are many ways to earn cash back, but you need to know how to look and what restrictions you have to keep in mind.
How to think like a Cashrewards master:
To become a Cashrewards master you first have to acknowledge the right way of thinking:
- First and foremost, cashback is not an income source. It is a bonus. It is not guaranteed.
- Most profitable Cashrewards users are those that save money with Cashrewards by checking the website before every online purchase.
- Make sure you focus on the deal and not the cashback. Getting a good deal with good cashback is more rewarding than just shopping with any retailer to just get cash back.
- Don’t buy things you don’t need: You could lose money if you get tempted to buy things that you would not otherwise buy.
- It can get addictive. Shop only for what you need, or had planned on buying. Limit yourself.
- Track your cookies: Cashback sites track your visits by putting cookies (little bits of information that identify you) onto your computer. So when you make a purchase, make sure you click through from the cashback site and not from anywhere else. If you’re expecting a lot of cashback, clear your computer’s cookies first to ensure the cashback is tracked.
- Claim cashback that wasn’t successfully tracked: Always claim the cashback if you don’t see that it has been tracked within seven days. It’s easy to claim.
Restrictions you should know:
- Rewards may not be paid if a coupon code is used that is not from the Cashrewards site.
- Booking travel? Rewards are not available until full completion of a flight or stay. In the case of return flights, the transaction is finalised once both flights have been completed.
- Rewards may only be paid on the net ticket purchase value excluding GST and all other taxes, levies & surcharges.
- If installed, disable your ad blocking software during your shopping sessions.
- Cashback may not be payable if a gift card is used for payment. In most cases, Cashrewards provides coupons to help you save on gift cards.
- Cashback will not be payable if the booking is cancelled.

Coupons – save straight away!
Cashrewards has some great coupon deals that allow you to save on your online shopping straight away.
I bought a $100 Woolworths gift card for $95 by clicking through the site. How it works:
- Look for the shop you want to buy from on Cashrewards.
- With Woolworths, there are two deals you can use.
- 5% of a gift card
- $23 for new customers at Woolworths. This can be done in conjunction with the 5% coupon code to save more
- Click the link on Cashrewards to ‘shop now’ at Woolworths
- Sign up if you are a new customer
- Pick the ‘WISH GIFT e-CARD’ so you have the option of using it at any of Woolworth’s Partner Stores
- Choose 1 at $100. Make sure your 5% discount is added and pay
- It should only cost you $95 and you should get an email from Cashrewards telling you when to expect your new customer bonus
There are many ways like this to save on Cashrewards. All you need to do is look up the retailer on the Cashrewards site before you shop.
If you become a Woolworths member you will also earn their membership rewards points that you can turn into Qantas air miles, so start travel hacking double dipping with cashback and air miles.
There are ways to become a Cashrewards master, but make sure you don’t think of this as an income source. Think of it as an added bonus – a handy way of earning extra money or pocket money for your travels.
